Are You Aligned?
Imagine your body as a finely-tuned vehicle - - a temple (vehicle) for your soul. Just as you would keep a car in alignment, checking its fluids, and ensuring everything is running smoothly, it’s essential to treat your body with the same dedication. Ask yourself: Is my inner world in alignment? How are you treating the vehicle that carries you through life?
When I taught at the Vancouver Film School, Electronic Arts University, Soccer Quest, and working with individuals in my coaching session I worked with a program I created called Transforming the Limited Version of Yourself and it has a specific way of discovering the levels of alignment and bringing into balance ones that may be misaligned thereby preventing the person from reaching their goals. There is a strategy to bring you into alignment.
Alignment is more than just physical—it’s about harmonizing mind, body, and spirit. When we’re “out of alignment,” worry and stress can take over, often at the expense of our peace and even our sleep. It’s easy to get wrapped up in what might happen tomorrow, but peace exists only in the present moment.
So, the next time your mind starts to spiral into tomorrow’s concerns, remember that you’ve handled challenges countless times before. You can navigate them again, with ease. Instead of obsessing over every little detail, give yourself permission to pause, take a breath, and realign. Let go of those future worries and focus on the now.
You deserve care and attention—take the time to keep yourself aligned, just as you would a car that you rely on. Start with small moments, and you'll feel more balanced and in tune with yourself. You’ll find that being present is the key to real peace.
And here’s the powerful truth: there is a way to know when you’re out of alignment. Much like dashboard indicators on a car, our bodies, minds, and emotions send signals when something needs attention. Stress, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, or physical discomfort are all messages that something within you might be misaligned. Pay attention because remember the Body Keeps Score.
By transforming the limited version of yourself, you can become attuned to these signals and understand what they’re really asking of you. It’s a practice of tuning into your needs and making adjustments, just as you would with your car. This self-awareness brings balance and ensures you stay aligned, able to face each day with clarity and peace. Remember, you don’t have to navigate this alone - - there is a way, there is guidance, and with a little practice, you’ll find your way back to alignment every time in each area of your life.
